1st Weigh-In

To kick the program off, we will have our first weigh-in at the pavillion this Sunday 2 January 2011 at 11am. Keep in mind that if you eat a big breakfast, that weight will be reflected and I would suggest that you wear the same outfit for the weigh-ins and wear something light in weight. See you then.

Kick-off

This contest is going to be amazing! We all want to get healthier in 2011 and The Biggest Loser-Carrington Ridge Edition is giving you a way to do it! Here are the important points:

-The program/contest will run from Monday 3 Jan 2011 thru Sunday 22 May 2011, that is a total of 20 weeks, plenty of time to achieve your goal and break some habits.

-We will have monthly weigh-ins (every 4 weeks) at the neighborhood pavillion with the final weigh-in on 22 May 2011. Feel free though to weigh in on your own as frequent as you like but monthly weigh-ins will be the official count.

-Just like the Biggest Loser TV show, winners will be based on the total percentage of weight loss so the contest is fair to everyone.

-No one will be eliminated! We don’t want people who have an off week to get discouraged and quit trying to lose weight.

-If you want to participate, please email me at Kevedward1@msn.com and let me know. I'll put together a roster once we get everyone that will participate. My number is 704-572-1482 if anyone needs to get ahold of me.

-There is a $10 buy-in to the contest and all of the money collected will go towards the winning prize.

-Since this is primarily limited to the neighborhood, we can organize group activities ie. group runs, group workouts, etc... I have P90X and those workouts are a great idea for group workouts or Jenn N can lead Zumba classes.

-I will put up weekly posts with updates, group workout schedules, nutrition ideas or anything else pertinent to this program.

-Remember that the more people who sign up, the better the prizes will be. Every penny taken in will be distributed back to the winners in the form of prizes.
